Had a great place to stay and they took great care of us. It was awesome to go in the off season.
Been here 42 years, there's nothing that compares. Bought the condo land and come up from Georgia for 5 months every year.
-Another individual was yelled at for requesting a larger cup for water, being told that the larger plastic cups were for beer and not water.
-The table cloths provided by the venue were full of stains.
-The venue booked another party on the same night while having told the bride and groom they'd be the only party. Because of this, there were points where people were waiting half an hour to get a drink.
Attended a wedding here over the weekend, and while it's a beautiful place, the service was awful for multiple reasons:
-An individual in our party was yelled at by the owner for taking macaroni and cheese from the buffet line because it's "for the kids". This person was a vegetarian so there were limited options.
This bartender here was very disrespectful and rude to everyone. My aunt had her wedding there, and the whole time she was very rude to all the people there. She showed no interest in working there or to any of the customers. She was throwing chairs and cussing at customers while my aunt's magical was going on. Moral of the story she was very rude and disrespectful to the customers and to the wedding itself.
My advice, skip this place for an event. From the many people I talked to after the wedding, we were all left with the same impression. The owner and staff are extremely rude.
-We were routinely ignored by the bartender after the bride and groom paid for a keg for guests to drink out of.
Private sites, clean rest rooms, access to bike trails and lake.
